When Tragedy Strikes

Joel Singleton

This sermon explores how faith sustains us in seasons of grief and tragedy. Drawing from Romans 8:18–28, we see that our pain is real, but it is not final. God’s Spirit groans with us, His comfort strengthens us, and His promises anchor us. Psalm 34 reminds us that He is near to the brokenhearted. Matthew 11 calls us to find rest in Jesus. Paul assures us in 2 Corinthians that our suffering is neither wasted nor permanent. When tragedy strikes, our faith is fire-tested but refined into something eternal.
